Cate Vickers - Practice Manager/Chiropractic Assistant (CA)
I love what I do! I found this career almost by accident following a decision to leave my job as Education Officer with the Qld Aids Council to pursue a professional singing career some 30 years ago.
I told my Chiropractor at the time that I needed a “little reception job” to supplement my income to follow my dreams! That “little job” has turned into a lifestyle that is rewarding and fun. During my time in the industry, I have helped train and set up other practices, sat on the Board of the Chiro Assistants Association of Australasia and spoken at numerous conferences.
I joined Tessa some 16+ years ago and it is lovely to have watched many of our patients grow from conception to present day.
Nothing gives me more joy then seeing both individuals (new borns to great grandparents), and families (many multi-generational) enjoying their visits.
I love communication and I love a good laugh so try to provide that environment when with our patients.
I am proud to be part of the team at WoW Chiropractic and relish continuing being a dynamic part of the community.
Maria Taplin - Chiropractic Assistant (CA)
I have been involved in chiropractic care my whole life starting in childhood and having regular care throughout.
I sought a career in chiropractic in my early 20’s as a chiropractic assistant for Les Whitehead in Palmerston North, New Zealand. I continued working for and being adjusted by Dr Whitehead throughout my pregnancy and my 2 children were lucky enough to receive their first chiropractic check only hours old.
My family moved to Brisbane in 1999 where I worked as a relief chiropractic assistant in the Brisbane area. Until I was lucky enough to secure a position at Wellness on Wellington Chiropractic. I love working in this vibrant, happy environment. . WoW Chiropractic is a family based clinic and it’s so great to really get to really know everyone and I love watching the kids grow and develop.
Chiropractic has always been a passion and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!
